The Synaptic Transformation Method™

WHY I CREATED THE SYNAPTIC TRANSFORMATION METHOD

Created by Lisa Michaels — RN, Certified Rapid Transformational Hypnotherapist, Certified Neuroscience Coach

Throughout my work in healthcare, hypnosis, neuroscience-informed coaching, and personal development, I repeatedly observed the same disconnect: people often know what they should do, yet struggle to access that knowledge when pressure, stress, established beliefs, and automatic behaviors take over.

Organizations invest significantly in education, systems, strategy, and professional development. Those resources are essential—but information alone does not always change how people respond in the moments that matter most.

I created The Synaptic Transformation Method™ to help bridge that gap. The Method integrates neuroscience-informed education, experiential learning, behavioral interruption, practical skill development, and professionally facilitated neuro-hypnotic reinforcement.

My purpose is to help people move beyond simply understanding change and begin experiencing new ways of focusing, responding, and performing—so they can access more of what they already know and are capable of when it matters most.

WHY INFORMATION ALONE DOES NOT ALWAYS CHANGE PERFORMANCE

People can possess the knowledge, experience, and technical skills required to perform effectively—and still struggle to access them when pressure is high.

Stress can narrow attention, disrupt working memory, reduce cognitive flexibility, and influence communication and decision-making.

Established beliefs and emotional patterns can also shape how a person interprets a situation before deliberate thought occurs. These interpretations may activate automatic behaviors such as hesitation, avoidance, defensiveness, overreaction, or reverting to familiar habits.

The Synaptic Transformation Method™ helps participants recognize these internal influences, regulate their attention and responses, and develop more deliberate patterns that support effective execution.

The Synaptic Transformation Flow

UNDERSTAND

UNDERSTAND

UNDERSTAND

Develop awareness of how stress, attention, beliefs, emotional patterns, and automatic behaviors influence individual and organizational performance. Neuroscience-informed education gives participants an accessible framework for understanding what may be affecting their responses.

EXPERIENCE

UNDERSTAND

UNDERSTAND

Move beyond intellectual understanding through guided exercises, behavioral interruption, focused attention, and practical regulation techniques. Participants experience how deliberate changes in attention and response can influence performance in real time.

INTEGRATE

INTEGRATE

INTEGRATE

Connect the learning to individual patterns, workplace demands, and specific performance challenges. Participants identify practical ways to apply the experience within their roles and create more intentional responses when familiar pressures arise.

REINFORCE

INTEGRATE

INTEGRATE

Strengthen the workshop learning through repetition, professionally facilitated neuro-hypnotic reinforcement, practical resources, and optional digital experiences. Continued practice supports the development of more consistent and adaptive performance patterns.

WHY REPETITION AND REINFORCEMENT MATTER

Understanding a new concept is only the beginning. The brain strengthens frequently used patterns through repetition, while familiar responses can continue to surface automatically—particularly under pressure.

Behavioral interruption creates an opportunity to pause an established response and practice a more deliberate alternative. Repetition and reinforcement then help make the new response increasingly familiar and accessible.

The Synaptic Transformation Method™ combines workshop learning with practical tools, neuro-hypnotic reinforcement, and optional continued experiences to support participants in applying what they learned beyond the workshop.

PROFESSIONALLY FACILITATED NEURO-HYPNOTIC EXPERIENCE

During the immersive portion of the workshop, each participant receives an individual headset through which the facilitator’s voice and accompanying audio are delivered directly and consistently while environmental distractions are reduced.

Guided hypnosis uses focused attention, mental rehearsal, purposeful language, and carefully developed suggestion to reinforce the workshop learning and support the organization’s agreed performance objectives.

Participants remain aware and in control throughout the experience. No one is required to speak, disclose personal information, or participate in public emotional processing.

Each person receives an individualized, performance-focused experience while participating alongside colleagues.

EDUCATIONAL AND PERFORMANCE-FOCUSED

Synaptic Transformation Group workshops are designed for education, professional development, and performance enhancement.

They are not psychotherapy, medical treatment, mental-health treatment, or a substitute for care provided by a qualified healthcare professional.

Participants are not asked to disclose personal information, revisit traumatic experiences, or engage in public emotional processing.

The experience remains focused on attention, regulation, behavioral awareness, and the organization’s agreed performance objectives.
